‘Manthan 2025’ Conference Concludes With Insights On National Unity And Cultural Heritage

The two-day national conference ‘Manthan 2025’ concluded successfully at North Campus, Delhi University, bringing together experts from diverse fields to discuss the future of India’s cultural heritage, national unity, and development.

Dr Indresh Kumar, RSS National Executive Member and Chief Patron of the Forum for Awareness of National Security (RSJM), addressed the gathering, highlighting that individuals who work toward the betterment of society and the nation are the true embodiment of good humanity.

He emphasized that India’s long-standing traditions of altruism and coexistence have played a significant role in building a resilient society.

In his speech, Dr Kumar criticized Western civilization, asserting that while the West has contributed to the destruction of cultures, India has preserved its heritage.

He also emphasized the importance of fearlessness, stating that the protection of national identity must remain unwavering, no matter the circumstances.

According to him, a developed India is the ultimate goal, and every citizen must dedicate themselves to achieving it.

Citizens’ Duty And Cultural Heritage: Satish Nambudiripad’s Call For Vigilance

The conference featured a distinguished speech by K Satish Nambudiripad, Director General of Doordarshan, who underscored the importance of Indian culture in national unity.

He highlighted the legacy of Adi Guru Shankaracharya and stressed that national objectives cannot be achieved solely by institutions; citizens must remain vigilant about their duties.

Nambudiripad further elaborated on the factors contributing to national unity, highlighting language, food habits, and lifestyle as elements deeply rooted in India’s ancient culture.

Nambudiripad also discussed how colonialism, particularly the policies of Thomas Macaulay, had sought to suppress India’s culture and civilization.

However, he observed that the winds of change are now blowing, and society must focus on fostering a strong sense of belonging to reclaim its cultural identity.

A Vision For India In 2047: Transforming The Nation

Prof Mehtab Alam Rizvi, Registrar of Jamia Millia Islamia and National Secretary General of RSJM, chaired the final session of the conference.

He outlined the key challenges India faces in the next 22 years as the nation works toward becoming a developed country by 2047.

Prof Rizvi emphasized that the government is committed to transforming India into a prosperous nation with a focus on eradicating hunger, farmer welfare, advancing education, improving healthcare, boosting national security, economic development, women’s empowerment, and enhancing India’s knowledge traditions.

In a discussion on India’s soft power, Prof Afshar Alam, Vice Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard, spoke about the country’s extensive influence around the world.

He explained that regardless of where Indian scholars, scientists, and entrepreneurs reside, their hearts remain connected to India.

Prof Alam emphasized the importance of cultural diplomacy and its role in strengthening India’s global position.

Scholars And Experts Contribute To National Dialogue

The conference, organized by the Forum for Awareness of National Security (RSJM), the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), and the Centre for Himalayan Studies, Delhi University, featured five technical sessions.

It saw active participation from distinguished scholars, security experts, media professionals, researchers, and students from across the nation.

During the welcome address, Prof BW Pandey, Director of the Centre for Himalayan Studies, expressed gratitude to the guests, while Vikramaditya Singh, senior RSJM official, thanked the attendees for their valuable contributions.

He stressed that the deliberations from the conference would help build a more developed India.

Acknowledging The Organizers’ Efforts

The organizing committee, including RSJM National Secretary (Organization) Golok Bihari Rai, Advocate Arun Kumar, Birendra Chaudhary, Rajiv Kumar Ranjan, and several other dignitaries, played a key role in making the conference a success.

Their dedication played a pivotal role in ensuring the event’s smooth execution and its meaningful discussions.

The event was an enriching experience for all participants, with vibrant discussions aimed at strengthening India’s national security, cultural heritage, and path to progress.

The consensus among the speakers was clear: India’s future lies in a unified nation that embraces its culture while advancing in all sectors of society.
