Manoj Tiwari Campaigns In Assam, BJP Eyes Strong Return Ahead Of Assembly Polls

Political activity has gathered pace ahead of the Assam Assembly elections, with the Bharatiya Janata Party deploying its prominent campaigners.

BJP MP and star campaigner Manoj Tiwari conducted a series of rallies across several constituencies in the state, aiming to consolidate support for the party.

Addressing public meetings in Hailakandi, Dholai and Udharbond, Manoj Tiwari expressed confidence that the BJP would return to power with a decisive majority. He criticised the Congress, alleging that it deprives people of happiness, while asserting that the BJP works towards delivering prosperity and welfare.

Speaking at a rally in Udharbond in the Silchar parliamentary constituency, Manoj  Tiwari placed development at the centre of his message.

He cited Delhi as an example and said that during the Congress regime, there was not a single Kendriya Vidyalaya in his constituency. However, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, two such schools have been established and two more approved.

He described this as evidence of the effectiveness of a ‘double-engine government’ and emphasised that development should be the primary focus of politics.

Massive Public Turnout

Highlighting the large turnout at the rally, Tiwari said that the presence of nearly 20,000 to 30,000 people reflected strong public support for the BJP. He appreciated the enthusiasm of the crowd, stating that their backing serves as a source of motivation.

Tiwari further said that voters no longer base elections on caste or religion but increasingly focus on development issues. He stated that BJP governments at both the Centre and in states have redefined governance, with visible improvements on the ground.

In his concluding remarks, Tiwari praised Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, describing him as a dynamic leader. He added that under Sarma’s leadership, Assam is progressing rapidly and moving steadily along the path of development.

With intensified campaigning and a focus on development narratives, the BJP is positioning itself strongly ahead of the Assembly elections, seeking to retain power in Assam with a renewed mandate.
