A 22-year-old man has been incarcerated in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, Telangana, for allegedly killing his younger sister. The incident occurred in Yellandu Mandal on July 24, and the 21-year-old woman tragically lost her life while being transported to a hospital.
According to police reports, the motive behind the crime was the man’s rage over his sister not heeding his warnings about making and posting videos on a social media platform. The woman, who had completed her Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) course and was an apprentice at a government hospital, had been repeatedly warned by her brother not to engage in video creation and sharing it on social media, as he expressed his disapproval.
On the fateful day, a heated argument ensued between the siblings regarding the matter. Despite her brother’s repeated warnings, the woman defiantly asserted that she would do as she pleased. In a fit of anger, the man struck her on the head with a pestle, causing severe injuries.

Her family rushed her to a hospital in Khammam and later transferred her to another hospital in Warangal for better medical attention. However, tragically, she succumbed to her injuries during the journey on the night of Monday.
Following the incident, the woman’s mother filed a complaint, leading to the registration of a murder case against the brother. As a result of the investigation, the accused was apprehended by the police.
