Man From Andhra Among Four Killed In Mass Shooting At A Store In US

A 32-years-old Indian from Andhra Pradesh killed in a mass shooting at a grocery store in Arkansas of United States. The horrific incident killed Dasari Gopikrishna among among the four. In a mass shooting at grocery store, a total of 14 people sustained injuries, including nine civilians and two officers from Law Enforcement.

The Indian victim is identified as a native of Bapatla district in Andhra Pradesh. Dasari Gopikrishna had gone to US only eight months ago.

He worked at the Mad Butcher grocery store at Fordyce. The incident of mass shooting in US took place on June 21. Arkansas is a small town in America.

Gopikrishna was seriously hurt while working at the billing desk. The following day, he passed away in a hospital. The news of his death devastated his family in Yajali, Karlapalem mandal, Bapatla district.

Gopikrishna leaves behind a son and a wife.

The attacker opened fire inside the store and in the parking area, leaving four people dead and nine injured.

In the meantime, security camera footage shows the attacker breaking into the shop and shooting the man working the counter. The gunman lifted something off the shelf, leaped over the counter, and fled as the victim fell to the ground.

The mass shooting at Arkansas is  latest in the series of mass shooting at grocery store in US. In 2022, a white supremacist killed ten Black individuals at a Buffalo supermarket. Before this attack, in 2o21 in Colorado, same type of incident took place.
