Man Attempts Self-Immolation Near Rail Bhawan; Admitted In RML Hospital

A man attempted self-immolation outside Rail Bhavan in Delhi on Wednesday. Eyewitnesses acted quickly, covering him with a cloth to extinguish the flames.

Delhi Police arrived promptly after being informed. The man was rushed to RML Hospital, where he is receiving treatment. Officials confirmed that he sustained minor burns.

The reason behind the man’s extreme step remains unclear. Police stated that the motive would only be determined after a thorough investigation.

Investigation into the incident is underway as CCTV cameras installed in Rail Bhavan are being scanned. Delhi police are investigating the motive behind the self-immolation attempt. Moreover, a forensic team has reached the crime scene to collect evidence.

Sharing detail of the incident, Delhi Police informed that 70 percent body of the man had been burnt.
