The Eleventh National Atal Samman Samaroh and the musical Atal Gatha marked the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The event, held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, was organized by the Atal Samman Samaroh Trust.
Storyteller Ajay Bhai captivated the audience with a musical Atal Gatha. Through poems and anecdotes, he narrated Vajpayee’s life, leaving the crowd spellbound. The event also recognized 20 achievers across various fields with the prestigious Atal Samman Awards.
The selection committee, including MP and artist Manoj Tiwari, Padma Shri Nalini-Kamalini, singer Kumar Vishu, motivational speaker Sonu Sharma, and writer Bhuvnesh Singhal, chose the awardees from hundreds of applications. Recipients were honoured in a ceremony rooted in Indian traditions, with conch sounds and mantra chanting enhancing the cultural atmosphere.

Bhuvnesh Singhal, poet and president of the event, highlighted its global cultural reputation. He said this year’s awards recognized artists, intellectuals, social workers, and others from India and abroad.
The ceremony was presided over by social worker SS Agarwal. Chief guests included Union Minister Arjunram Meghwal and MP Manoj Tiwari. Other dignitaries, such as former BJP Vice President Shyam Jaju and Delhi Opposition Chief Whip Ajay Mahawar, also attended.
During the event, Meghwal and Tiwari praised Vajpayee’s legacy and the organizer’s dedication. Meghwal recited Vajpayee’s poems and sang folk songs, while Tiwari lauded the event’s cultural essence.
Awardees received a special 11-item honour package. It included a tilak, a flower garland from Vrindavan, Rudraksha from Nepal, and a copy of Ramcharitmanas, among other items.
