On Monday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge attacked Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), saying he only interacts with the wealthy and mafia.
“KCR lives in a farmhouse and doesn’t interact with people. No one he meets is impoverished. During a rally in the town of Narsapur, in the Medak district of Telangana, Kharge stated, “He only meets the rich, land mafia, sand mafia, and mining mafia.”
Referring to the Election Commission’s directive to the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi government to halt Rythu Bandhu disbursements until the elections are concluded, Kharge stated, “The Election Commission had to halt the Rythu Bandhu scheme because KCR’s minister, Harish Rao, had broken the poll code. However, KCR lied when he claimed that Congress was delaying payments to farmers as part of the plan.
“Congress is always in the farmer’s corner,” the president of Congress continued

Kharge said, “KCR stole public money from ORR Project, Dharani Portal, and Kaleshwaram. He accused KCR of robbing the people of Telangana.” Telangana was a surplus state in 2014. The state currently owes ₹5.60 lakh crore in loans.”

“If BRS is elected to power, they will govern from a farmhouse”
While campaigning in the southern state, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also disparaged KCR, claiming that if she were to win the election again, she would run the government out of her farmhouse.
“The government of Telangana is being run by powerful individuals who sit in their mansions and farmhouses… Sitting in large mansions are all of its (BRS) leaders. They only have policies that apply to large corporations. They have nothing to offer the poor, middle class, Adivasis, Dalits, and small business owners,” Vadra reportedly said at a rally in Bhongir, according to the source.
The leader of the Congress party claimed that the goal of both the BJP and the BRS is to simply maintain power and amass wealth. According to her, the leaders of each party also amass wealth.
“They begin managing polls when elections are approaching. Telangana people are not for sale, and they should be taught that,” the woman stated.
