Fires Strike At Mumbai's Lokmanya Tilak Terminus
On a Wednesday afternoon, chaos unfolded at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) in Kurla as a massive fire erupted in the Jan Aahar canteen on platform no. 1. The intensity of the blaze created a massive black cloud of smoke visible in surfaced visuals. Swift action by the fire brigade at 3:30 pm successfully contained the fire, sparing the busy terminus from casualties.

Despite the panic that swept the area when the fire broke out, authorities managed to evacuate passengers without witnessing a stampede-like situation. Two fire brigade vehicles promptly arrived at the scene to extinguish the flames, ensuring no further injuries were reported.

Remarkably, this incident marked the second major fire in Mumbai within 24 hours. In the early hours of the same Wednesday, a blaze erupted opposite Trans Residency on Mahakali Caves Road in Andheri (East). A 45-year-old individual, Faruq Siddhiki, suffered burn injuries as three cars were engulfed in flames. Firefighters, deploying two fire engines, successfully extinguished the blaze around 2:45 am, raising concerns about fire safety measures in the city.
