A massive blast at an ordnance factory in Bhandara, Maharashtra, killed at least eight people and injured seven others on Friday morning. The explosion occurred around 10:30 a.m., said District Collector Sanjay Kolte.
Rescue teams are searching for survivors, while firefighters work to contain the situation. Authorities confirmed that five people have been rescued so far. An excavator is being used to clear the debris caused by the blast, which led to a roof collapse trapping at least 12 individuals.
