Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hosted a grand dinner for revered saints during his visit to Prayagraj. The event saw the participation of saints from all akhadas, including Khakhachowk, Dandibada, and Acharyabada. After the dinner, the Chief Minister presented gifts to the saints and expressed his heartfelt gratitude for their involvement and blessings.
The gathering was held at the Radio Training Hall of the Prayagraj Mela Authority. It was attended by 20 saints from various prominent akhadas such as Juna, Niranjani, Udasin Bada, and Nirmal. Representatives from the three Vaishnav akhadas—Nirmohi, Digambar, and Nirvani—were also present, along with saints from Agni, Aavahan, Atal, Anand, and Niranjani akhadas. Mahamandaleshwar Santosh Das, also known as Satu Baba, from Khakhachowk, graced the occasion with his presence.
The Chief Minister took the opportunity to meet the saints personally and welcomed their participation in the upcoming Maha Kumbh. The saints expressed their gratitude for being invited and extended their blessings for the success of the grand event.
In keeping with tradition, the Chief Minister requested that a sattvic meal be served to the saints. The menu included an elaborate spread of dishes such as moong and arhar dal, chickpea greens, paneer vegetables, aloo-methi soya, malai kofta, matar nimona, and the traditional sweet moong halwa.
After the meal, CM Yogi honored the saints by presenting them with shawls as a mark of respect. He thanked them for their unwavering support and spiritual guidance. The saints, in turn, blessed the Chief Minister and wished for the successful and grand completion of the Maha Kumbh.
The dinner symbolized the harmonious relationship between the government and spiritual leaders in ensuring the success of cultural and religious events.
