Who would’ve thought when we say love makes you do crazy things, it would also mean killing your friend? In an unexpected incident that took place in Gurugram’s Ravi Nagar area on Sunday night, a 21-year-old man named Aakash was allegedly stabbed to death by his friends. The reason? A suspected love affair.
Aakash, a resident of Naharpur village, was reportedly attacked by his acquaintances, Pratham and Krishan, with whom he had studied at the same school. Despite Krishan leaving school in class 8, a dispute over a girl lingered between them.
On the fateful night, the accused duo summoned Aakash outside his house, where he went willingly. Concerned when Aakash did not return, his brother Suraj initiated a search and discovered him lying in a pool of blood near the subway along the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway. Aakash succumbed to excessive blood loss, and while the autopsy will reveal the exact cause of death, the police spokesperson, Subhash Boken, stated that the incident’s motive is suspected to be a love affair. Raids are underway to apprehend the suspects.
In a separate incident that occurred on Saturday in Maharashtra’s Pune, a 26-year-old woman IT professional named Vandana Dwivedi was allegedly shot dead by her boyfriend, Rishabh Nigam, in the Hinjawadi area of Pimpri Chinchwad. Nigam, reportedly angered by Dwivedi avoiding him, was apprehended in Mumbai. A case has been registered against him under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act.
