The curtain rises on the next chapter of the Lok Sabha election as the second phase of voting gears up for April 26th, spanning 89 constituencies across 13 states and Union territories. The polling stations will open their doors at 7 am sharp, welcoming voters until 5 pm.
In this phase, the battlefield is set for a fierce showdown between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc, each vying for supremacy.
Among the notable contenders in this phase are Rahul Gandhi contesting from Wayanad, Shashi Tharoor representing Congress, and Rajeev Chandrasekhar from BJP in Thiruvananthapuram, along with Hema Malini from Mathura, Bhupesh Baghel from Rajnandgaon, DK Suresh from Bangalore Rural, and Tejasvi Surya from Bangalore South, among others.

The Election Commission of India reported an average voter turnout ranging from 60 to 65 percent across all states.
This multi-phase electoral saga unfolds over seven stages, spanning April 19th, April 26th, May 7th, May 13th, May 20th, May 25th, and concluding on June 1st. The grand reveal of the electorate’s decision will unfold on June 4th as the votes are counted.
