'Let Them Be Happy': IAF Chief On Pakistan's Downing Claims

Pakistan’s claims regarding Indian Air Force losses during Operation Sindoor were baseless and fictional, says AP Singh.

“If Pakistan thinks they have downed my 15 Indian jets, let them think,” he said, adding with a touch of sarcasm, “Unhka jo narrative hai, manohar kahaniyan hai, chalne do, let them be happy with this,” referring to the claims as fanciful stories.

The IAF’s reaction signals rejection of these claims, highlighting India’s defence and operational capabilities.

Amid rising tensions, Pakistan claimed it successfully targeted multiple Indian aircraft, sparking intense media speculation and concern.

Moreover, Air Chief Marshal Singh applauded the performance of the S-400 air defence system, calling it a ‘good weapon system’.

The S-400, acquired by Russia, is the most advanced surface-to-air missile system around the globe.

He conveys a broader message of strategic confidence and technological preparedness.

The IAF Chief backed the S-400 and dismissed propaganda to reaffirm India’s precise, resilient air defence commitment.

Singh emphasised facts over fiction, while the Indian Air Force chose silence on operations to maintain strategic focus.

Defence analysts interpret his remarks as India’s message to resist misinformation and psychological tactics, both locally and globally.

The IAF leadership rejects rhetoric, choosing proven systems and strategic clarity as geopolitical narratives rapidly shift and evolve. The IAF Chief dismissed false claims and affirmed defence strength as information warfare rises in psychological influence worldwide.
