A fire erupted in a residential property in Delhi’s Keshav Puram area on Friday morning, triggering panic among residents. Five individuals sustained burn injuries in the incident.
Emergency teams responded promptly to control the situation.
The blaze occurred near the Tri Nagar grain market under the jurisdiction of the Keshav Puram police station.
Officials reported that the fire started around 7:00 AM, although the precise cause remains under investigation.
The Delhi Fire Service received an alert at approximately 7:10 AM regarding a fire on the third floor of a building.
Authorities immediately dispatched three fire tenders to the location.
Police personnel from the local station, along with an ambulance team, also reached the site without delay.
The fire engulfed the entire house, causing injuries to five occupants.
Rescue teams evacuated the victims and transported them to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
A family member, Preetan, stated that the fire likely originated from a motor, with nearby items catching fire and intensifying the flames. He added that six individuals reside in the house.
In a separate incident on March 24, a massive fire broke out in a plywood warehouse in Bawana Sector-2.
Authorities deployed 17 fire tenders to control the rapidly spreading flames. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Earlier, on March 18, a tragic fire in Delhi’s Palam area claimed nine lives, including three young girls, in a residential-cum-commercial building.
Officials continue to urge citizens to follow fire safety measures to prevent such incidents.
