The Karnataka Assembly witnessed dramatic scenes on Tuesday as the opposition BJP accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of involvement in alleged irregularities in the tribal Board case, demanding his resignation on moral grounds.
Former Deputy Chief Minister CN Ashwath Narayan objected to the CM’s absence during the discussion, urging Speaker UT Khader to summon him to the House. “The CM should be present to face allegations against him,” Ashwath Narayan said.

Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar countered, accusing the BJP of looting the state and labeling Ashwath Narayan “the father of looters.” The exchange sparked a heated argument between Congress and BJP members, forcing the Speaker to briefly adjourn the House.
Earlier, Leader of Opposition R Ashoka called for the CM’s resignation and a CBI investigation into the case. The BJP MLAs demanded an apology from Shivakumar for his remarks, escalating the tensions in the Assembly.
The chaos highlights the intense political rivalry in Karnataka, with the BJP seeking to corner the ruling Congress government over the tribal Board controversy.
