BJP President JP Nadda strongly criticized Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for his controversial remark about ‘fighting’ the Indian State.
Nadda took to social media on Wednesday, accusing Gandhi of exposing Congress’ true intentions.
Taking to X, Nadda posted, “Hidden no more, Congress’ ugly truth now stands exposed by their own leader. I ‘compliment’ Mr. Rahul Gandhi for saying clearly what the nation knows- that he is fighting the Indian state!”
The BJP president also alleged that Rahul Gandhi had aligned himself with forces seeking to destabilize India.
“It is not a secret that Mr. Gandhi and his ecosystem have close links with Urban Naxals and the Deep State who want to defame, demean and discredit India. His repeated actions have also strengthened this belief. Everything he has done or said has been in the direction of breaking India and dividing our society,” Nadda added.

JP Nadda further criticized the Congress party’s historical actions, accusing them of encouraging forces that want a weaker India.
“Congress has a history of encouraging all those forces who want a weak India. Their greed for power meant compromising the nation’s integrity and betraying the trust of the people. But, the people of India are wise. They have decided that they will always reject Mr. Rahul Gandhi and his rotten ideology,” he added.

In a press conference in Delhi, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia echoed Nadda’s sentiments. He questioned whether Gandhi’s remarks represented the official stance of the Congress party.
“Today, the RSS, BJP, Bharat, and the media stand united. But who is fighting against the Indian State? Is this the Congress party’s official position?” Bhatia questioned.
The BJP spokesperson also criticized Gandhi’s understanding of the Constitution.
He asserted, “Rahul Gandhi, who brandishes the Constitution at every opportunity, clearly aligns with forces that weaken the Indian State. Sovereignty is the glue holding our nation together, and Gandhi’s ignorance of this fact is appalling.”
Bhatia claimed that international figures, such as American investor George Soros, were influencing Gandhi’s position.
“It seems Rahul Gandhi is acting on instructions from George Soros, hell-bent on undermining India’s sovereignty and spirit,” Bhatia alleged.
Additionally, Bhatia referenced legal consequences for such statements, citing Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which criminalizes actions that threaten India’s unity, integrity, or sovereignty, with penalties of up to seven years in prison.
The controversy began after Rahul Gandhi’s speech at the inauguration of the Congress party’s new headquarters in Delhi. He sharply criticized the RSS and BJP, accusing them of systematically taking control of India’s institutions.
“Do not think we are fighting a fair fight. If you believe this is merely against a political organisation like the BJP or RSS, understand that they have captured almost every institution in our country. We are now up against the Indian state itself,” Gandhi said.
