As Tejashwi Yadav embarks on his ‘Aabhar Yatra’ across Bihar, engaging with party workers in various districts, the JDU is mobilizing its own efforts with a crucial meeting scheduled at its Patna headquarters on Monday.
The meeting is likely to begin at 11:30 AM and will bring together district presidents, divisional leaders, and other party officials and workers.
Neeraj Kumar, a JDU Member of the Legislative Council (MLC), confirmed the meeting and highlighted its significance.
“The meeting will be held under the chairmanship of the party’s national working President, Sanjay Kumar Jha, and state President Abhay Kushwaha will also be present,” said Neeraj Kumar. “The party has given me the opportunity to address the gathering at 12:35 PM”
The meeting follows recent leadership changes within the party, with Nitish Kumar appointed as the national President and Sanjay Kumar Jha taking on the role of national working president.
The session is likely to focus on soliciting feedback from grassroots members and devising strategies for the upcoming 2025 elections.
Following a strong showing in the recent Lok Sabha elections, where both JDU and BJP secured 12 seats each, Nitish Kumar’s influence has grown significantly on the national stage.
This success has elevated Kumar’s role as a key player within the NDA coalition.
Party leaders are however optimistic that this momentum will translate into success in the 2025 Assembly elections.
The NDA’s impressive performance, including leading in 173 Assembly constituencies, positions it favorably for the forthcoming state elections.
BJP leaders have already committed to contesting the 2025 elections under Kumar’s leadership, with JDU confident in securing the next government and ensuring Kumar’s continuation as Chief Minister for another term.
