Godara, linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for Gogamedi’s killing on Facebook, citing the Karni Sena chief’s alleged support for his enemies. Meghwal had procured multiple pistols and cartridges, providing them to Fauji and Rathore.

On December 5, Meghwal dropped Fauji and Rathore on Ajmer Road, from where they went to Gogamedi’s residence, gaining access through an acquaintance, Naveen Shekhawat. The shooters opened fire, killing Gogamedi and Shekhawat before fleeing.
