Indian Navy Successfully Conducts Anti-Ship Missile Drills; Reaffirms Combat Readiness

The Indian Navy successfully carried out an anti-ship missile exercise on Sunday, demonstrating its preparedness against any threat.

It declared that it remains fully prepared for combat at any time, anywhere, and in any manner to safeguard India’s maritime interests.

The missile test was conducted from Indian Naval ships.

This anti-ship firing drill re-validated the readiness of the platform, systems, and personnel for executing long-range precision offensive strikes.

The Indian Navy stated it has conducted several successful anti-ship missile firings to demonstrate its personnel’s high readiness.

It confirmed that the Navy is reliable and ready to combat any future attacks by enemies.

“Indian Navy Ships undertook successful multiple anti-ship firings to revalidate and demonstrate the readiness of platforms, systems, and crew for long-range precision offensive strike. Indian Navy stands combat-ready, credible, and future-ready in safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests, Anytime Anywhere Anyhow,” said the Indian Navy on its X handle on Sunday.

Terror Attack In Pahalgam Claims Young Naval Officer

On 22 April, Pakistan-backed terrorists opened fire on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, killing 28 people.

Among the victims was Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, a 26-year-old Naval officer from Haryana’s Karnal. He had married on 16 April, and was on his honeymoon in Kashmir. The terrorists killed tourists after asking about their religion.

Within 48 hours of the attack, India conducted an important missile test on Thursday, sending a strong message to its enemies.

The Indian Navy carried out this missile test from the indigenously built guided missile destroyer, INS Surat, in the Arabian Sea.

The Navy fired a medium-range surface-to-air missile. According to the Navy, INS Surat successfully hit the target in the sea.

This indigenous Naval destroyer can destroy enemy missiles mid-air.

Pakistan remains agitated and fearful due to India’s strong countermeasures against terrorism. This has led to repeated ceasefire violations and cross-border firing by Pakistan along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.

On the night of 26-27 April, Pakistani Army posts initiated unprovoked small arms fire across the Line of Control opposite Tutmari Gali and Rampur Sector, officials said.

Indian soldiers responded effectively with appropriate small arms fire.

The Indian Army remains fully alert and prepared to counter any hostile act by Pakistan. Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi has held several key meetings in Jammu and Kashmir. He has reviewed the actions taken by the Army so far.

Simultaneously, the Indian Navy has demonstrated its strong state of readiness.
