PM Modi Describes India-UAE Friendship As ‘Deep-Rooted’ After Dubai Royal Meet

Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan’s Visit Boosts India-UAE Ties

Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday during his first official visit to India.

The meeting reinforced the long-standing and deep-rooted relations between the two nations.

Following the meeting, the Crown Prince posted on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Our conversations reaffirmed the strength of UAE–India ties, which is built on trust, shaped by history, and driven by a shared vision to create a future full of opportunity, innovation, and lasting prosperity.”

PM Modi Shares Post On Meeting With Crown Prince Of Dubai

Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a post on X following his meeting with HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai.

In the post, PM Modi expressed his delight over the meeting and acknowledged Dubai’s pivotal role in strengthening the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

“This special visit reaffirms our deep-rooted friendship and paves the way for even stronger collaboration in the future,” PM Modi wrote, highlighting the significance of the Crown Prince’s first official visit to India.

Diplomatic & Economic Engagement

The Crown Prince, who arrived in India on a two-day visit at the invitation of PM Modi, is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising ministers, senior government officials, and prominent business leaders.

Following his arrival, Prime Minister Modi hosted a working lunch in his honor, marking the warmth and strategic importance India places on its relationship with the UAE.

In addition to his meeting with PM Modi, Sheikh Hamdan held discussions with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

EAM Jaishankar welcomed the Crown Prince, emphasizing the vitality of India–UAE cooperation.

“Delighted to welcome Crown Prince of Dubai and DPM & Minister of Defence of UAE HH Hamdan Mohammed. Value his positive sentiments for our wide-ranging cooperation and vibrant ties,” he said.

Mumbai Business Roundtable & Future Focus

Following his engagements in New Delhi, the Crown Prince will travel to Mumbai, where he will participate in a business roundtable featuring key business leaders from both nations.

The discussion aims to deepen commercial and strategic collaboration, especially in emerging sectors such as renewable energy, AI, fintech, and trade logistics.

A Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) statement highlighted Dubai’s pivotal role in India’s ties with the UAE.

With nearly 4.3 million Indians living in the UAE, most residing in Dubai, the city has long been a hub of people-to-people and cultural exchange.

The Crown Prince’s visit is expected to reinforce this multifaceted partnership.

The high-profile visit comes amid growing momentum in India–UAE relations under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership framework.

It builds upon previous high-level exchanges and paves the way for greater cooperation across trade, technology, energy, and defense, ushering in a new era of dynamic partnership between the two nations.
