Dr Indresh Kumar, a senior RSS leader, addressed the inaugural session of the ‘Manthan 2025’ conference in Delhi, articulating his vision for India’s future.
He shared that by 2047, India would regain its lost glory and become the world’s most powerful and affluent nation.
In line with this vision, the two-day event, organized by the Forum for Awareness of National Security (FANS), ICSSR, and the Centre for Himalayan Studies, University of Delhi, focused on building a robust India through national security, cultural diplomacy, and capacity building.
Building on this strong foundation, the conference served as a crucial platform for discussing the nation’s potential and the strategies needed to achieve this ambitious goal.
The event also emphasized the importance of collective efforts and collaboration among citizens, institutions, and the government to secure a prosperous and powerful future for India.
Dr Kumar emphasized that India’s resurgence rests on the collective efforts of its citizens, not just the government.
He called for the creation of a ‘Bharat Sangh’ – a fearless, crime-free, corruption-free, riot-free, prosperous, and harmonious nation.
He highlighted India’s deep-rooted cultural values, such as treating guests as gods, which he believes could end world hunger if embraced globally.
Kumar also reminded the audience of India’s ancient educational supremacy, mentioning Takshashila and Vikramshila as examples of institutions that attracted scholars worldwide.
Senior journalist Jaideep Karnik also spoke at the event, warning of the dangers posed by misleading narratives on social media.
He stressed the importance of combating misinformation and empowering youth to make informed decisions.
Karnik emphasized that conferences like ‘Manthan 2025’ play a critical role in raising national awareness and consciousness.
Other notable speakers included Prof Radhe Shyam Sharma, former Vice-Chancellor, and General Saurish Bhattacharya, who urged youth to take the lead in shaping India’s future.
In continuation of this call to action, Sardar Jasbir Singh, National Working President of FANS, emphasized India’s cultural heritage as a unique strength, reinforcing India’s global identity.
Furthermore, his remarks underscored the pivotal role cultural values play in enhancing India’s global position, fostering national unity, and instilling a renewed sense of pride among its citizens.
This connection between heritage and progress became a key theme, inspiring the audience to contribute to the country’s journey toward a brighter future.
Vikramaditya Singh from FANS pointed out that experts would deliberate on critical national and global issues during the conference.
This, he believes, will contribute to a stronger, more secure India.
The conference, themed ‘Developed India – Divine India @2047: National Security, Capacity Building, and Cultural Diplomacy’, saw the participation of scholars, academicians, and students from Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and other renowned institutions.
As the discussions unfolded, esteemed attendees, including Golok Bihari Rai, Prof Mujahid Beg, Dr Amit Singh, and many others, contributed valuable insights on various topics that will play a pivotal role in shaping India’s development in the coming decades.
This convergence of intellectuals highlighted the importance of collaboration between academia, security experts, and cultural diplomats to build a prosperous India.
As the discussions unfold, the ‘Manthan 2025’ conference presents a critical platform for envisioning India’s transformation into a global leader by 2047 while reinforcing national values, security, and cultural diplomacy.
