Bill Gates, Chair and Board Member of the Gates Foundation, praised India’s leadership in innovation and global health. He spoke at a global forum hosted by CII, the Gates Foundation, and the Women’s Collective Forum.

Gates highlighted India’s progress in health, AI, and digital infrastructure.

Gates commended India’s role in affordable healthcare, AI-powered diagnostics, and digital public infrastructure. He stressed the need to scale India’s innovative solutions to solve global challenges.

Bill Gates called India’s rapid growth in inclusive economic development and technology a model for the world.

Bill Gates Applauds India’s Low-Cost Innovations & Sustainable Growth

Gates praised India’s low-cost innovations in health and development. He said India’s progress shows how innovation and policy alignment can create sustainable solutions.

Additionally, Gates reaffirmed the Gates Foundation’s commitment to supporting Indian innovators and policymakers to scale breakthroughs in AI, healthcare, and sustainability.

Leaders Recognize India’s Global Influence

Smriti Irani, Chairperson of the Alliance for Global Good Gender Equity and Equality, praised Gates and the Foundation for funding impactful projects. She highlighted India’s ability to create tech-based solutions for global issues like health, nutrition, and food security.

Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General of CII, called India’s digital infrastructure a blueprint for the Global South.

Sanjiv Puri, CII President, said the success of Ayushman Bharat and AI-driven agricultural solutions proves that policy and technology alignment can create global benchmarks.
