National Security Advisers Ajit K Doval of India and Nuhu Ribadu of Nigeria held the Second Strategic and Counter-Terrorism Dialogue in New Delhi on November 4-5, 2024. The discussions, part of the India-Nigeria strategic partnership, focused on mutual threats from terrorism, extremism, and international crime.
In-Depth Discussions on Terrorism and Cyber Radicalization
Doval and Ribadu held detailed talks on challenges linked to terrorism and radicalization, including those spread through cyberspace. They discussed the impacts of international crime, arms, and drug smuggling on national and regional security. Both leaders reiterated a shared stance against terrorism in all forms, underscoring that no justification exists for such acts.
Agreements to Boost Bilateral and International Cooperation
The two countries identified key areas to enhance counter-terrorism cooperation, focusing on capacity building and international efforts. Ribadu also visited the National Security Guard facility in Manesar, further strengthening bilateral ties in security.
