Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee formally invited Upendrra Rai, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Express News Network, to attend the ‘Annual International Conference on Vision 2047: Prosperous and Great Bharat 2.0’ as a Special Guest.
The event will take place from April 24 to 26 at the Roorkee campus in Uttarakhand.
The institute designed the second edition to build upon the success of the 2025 conference.
That edition served as a national thought platform and gathered policymakers, economists, technologists, academic leaders, and global representatives.
Organisers aim to convert the Prime Minister’s vision of self-reliance, inclusive growth, and cooperative federalism into actionable frameworks.
The earlier conference featured prominent figures such as Manohar Lal Khattar, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Nitin Gadkari, and Nayab Singh Saini. Experts, including Sridhar Vembu and S Gurumurthy, also contributed.
International representatives, scientists, and academic leaders strengthened deliberations.
The institute emphasised that CMD Upendrra Rai’s leadership and commitment to inclusive development will inspire participants.
Organisers structured the 2026 conference as an action-driven forum focusing on national priorities. These include employment generation, demographic strength, economic leadership, internal security, technological advancement, environmental responsibility, global harmony, and ethical public life.
IIT Roorkee, with a legacy of over 178 years, continues to align research and education with national goals.
The collaboration with Swadeshi Shodh Sansthan reinforces its commitment to Viksit Bharat 2047.
