Hyderabad Traffic Restrictions Announced Ahead Of PM Modi’s Visit

Hyderabad Police have imposed traffic restrictions across several important routes in the city ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on Sunday.

The restrictions will remain in force between 1 PM and 10 PM within the limits of the Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri police commissionerates.

Police advised citizens to avoid key stretches along the route of the Prime Minister’s convoy travelling from Begumpet Airport to Hitech City in Cyberabad.

PM Modi is scheduled to launch, inaugurate and dedicate multiple development projects worth around Rs 9,377 crore during his visit.

After arriving in Hyderabad from Bengaluru, the Prime Minister will travel by road to the Hyderabad International Convention Centre in Cyberabad. He will also inaugurate Sindhu Hospital, a cancer-focused multi-super speciality healthcare institution equipped with advanced medical facilities.

Later, PM Modi will address a public meeting at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad and launch additional development projects. Authorities expect nearly one lakh people to attend the gathering.

To ensure smooth security and crowd management, police have deployed more than 2,000 personnel along with specialised forces and over 620 traffic police officers.

Malkajgiri Police Commissioner B Sumathi stated that authorities have established a Joint Command and Control Room equipped with CCTV cameras for real-time surveillance and monitoring.

Specialised teams have also conducted anti-sabotage and bomb disposal checks across sensitive locations.

Security agencies, including OCTOPUS and NSG teams, remain deployed across the venue, while emergency and medical services stay on standby.

Police have banned items such as bags, cameras and electronic gadgets at the venue and declared the Parade Grounds area a No-Drone Zone.

Authorities also advised commuters to use Metro Rail services and follow traffic diversions during PM Modi’s visit.
