HM Shah To Visit Kashi Today For Central Zonal Council Deliberations

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will arrive in Kashi (Varanasi) on Monday to lead the 25th meeting of the Central Zonal Council (CZC), a key inter-state platform that aims to enhance coordination between the Centre and the states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.

Kashi will host this meeting for the first time, highlighting the city’s growing importance as a centre for administrative and developmental dialogue.

Chief Ministers Yogi Adityanath, Pushkar Singh Dhami, Mohan Yadav, and Vishnu Deo Sai will attend the event, ensuring strong regional representation.

The four Chief Ministers will receive Amit Shah at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi on Monday evening.

After their arrival, the dignitaries will travel by road to offer prayers at the sacred Baba Kaal Bhairav Temple, revered as the guardian deity of Kashi.

They will also visit the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, one of the most prominent pilgrimage sites in Hinduism.

These visits will reflect the spiritual and cultural depth of the city and set the tone for the high-level discussions to follow.

Formal CZC meeting scheduled for Tuesday

The 25th Central Zonal Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, 24 June, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at a leading city hotel.

The council will deliberate on pressing regional issues, including law and order, infrastructure development, border coordination, and inter-state cooperation.

The CZC will continue to serve as a vital forum for resolving disputes and aligning regional development priorities.

Following the temple visits, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will host a dinner at Hotel Taj in honour of Amit Shah and the attending leaders.

This informal gathering will offer an opportunity to strengthen personal rapport and discuss concerns ahead of the formal session.

In preparation for the high-profile visit, security will be significantly heightened across the city.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Saravanan T has confirmed that comprehensive arrangements are in place, particularly along routes leading to the temples and the meeting venue.

Authorities will deploy ten companies of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) to ensure security and maintain smooth coordination.

The CZC meeting in Kashi aims to reinforce Centre-state cooperation and address key developmental challenges in the region.

As India continues its focus on cooperative federalism, these high-level gatherings will play a crucial role in fostering consensus, shared goals, and sustainable regional progress.
