Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend the foundation stone laying ceremony on Sunday. The event marks the beginning of new buildings for Shri Parsamal Bohra Netraheen Mahavidyalaya in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
Shah’s schedule places him at Jodhpur Airport at 3:50 PM. Furthermore, with a direct journey to Shri Parsamal Bohra Netraheen Mahavidyalaya in Ramraj Nagar, arriving at 3:55 PM.
He is set to join the foundation stone laying ceremony from 4:10 PM until 5:30 PM.
Meanwhile, he will make his way back to Jodhpur Airport at 5:50 PM to board a flight to Surat at 5:55 PM.
Tight security arrangements have been put in place for the Union Home Minister’s visit.
With more than 400 police personnel deployed along the route from Jodhpur Airport to the venue in Ramraj Nagar, Chokha.
Police Commissioner Om Prakash and Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vineet Kumar Bansal were appointed. They reviewed the security measures at the venue on Friday.
Initiatives Shape Rajasthan’s Future
Emphasising the preparations, DCP (West) Vineet Kumar Bansal said, “Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Jodhpur on Sunday and lay the foundation stone of the college for the visually impaired in Ramraj Nagar. Strict security arrangements will be made. The route and other security arrangements are being reviewed.”
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will join Amit Shah at the ceremony.
The Shri Parsamal Bohra Netraheen Mahavidyalaya has a rich history. It started in 1977 by Sushila Bohra in a former temple with just two visually impaired children.
Over the past 48 years, the institution has expanded its reach significantly. At present, 1,251 students are enrolled, and in the past, 4,626 differently-abled children, including the blind, deaf, mute and mentally disabled.
Students were provided with education and skill training, helping them become part of mainstream society.
This comes shortly before Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Rajasthan on September 25. He will travel to Banswara to lay the foundation for the Mahi-Banswara Nuclear Power Plant. Furthermore, announce ₹1.21 lakh crore worth of projects.
India is set to begin construction of its largest nuclear power plant, worth nearly ₹45,000 crore.
This landmark project, situated near the Mahi Dam along the Rajasthan-Madhya Pradesh border. It is a Nuclear Energy Mission initiative, enhancing both energy security and renewable commitments.
