HM Amit Shah Reviews Delhi Blast Probe; Security Tightened

Union Home Minister Amit Shah reviewed the ongoing investigation into the Delhi blast on Tuesday.

He also assessed the multi-state searches and reaffirmed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to bringing the perpetrators to justice.

HM Shah chaired a high-level meeting at his residence with top security officials. He instructed agencies to uncover the full conspiracy swiftly.

Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan attended the meeting in person. Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Kumar Deka attended the meeting in person.
Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha attended the meeting. NIA Director General Sadanand Vasant Date attended the meeting. Jammu and Kashmir DGP Nalin Prabhat joined the meeting virtually.

A dedicated team of over 500 security personnel is investigating the incident. Authorities have tightened security across Delhi-NCR and deployed NSG commandos at key installations.

Investigators are scanning more than 1,000 CCTV clips to gather evidence. They suspect the Red Fort Metro car explosion on Monday evening was a suicide attack targeting maximum casualties.

Agencies are monitoring social media and collecting mobile phone data from locations around the Red Fort.

Investigators expect the data to help identify phone numbers and communication links associated with the car bombing.

HM Shah ordered the NIA, IB, and Delhi Police Special Cell to collaborate closely. He affirmed, ‘We will leave no stone unturned.’

Authorities issued a high alert in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Mumbai. They enhanced security around crowded public places and religious sites.

Earlier, while in Bhutan, Prime Minister Modi assured action against the conspirators.

“Our agencies will get to the bottom of this conspiracy. The conspirators behind this will not be spared. All those responsible will be brought to justice,” PM Modi said.

PM Modi also expressed grief for the affected families and solidarity with the nation.

BJP leaders criticised the Congress and its allies for politicising the terror attack.

Amit Malviya, head of the BJP’s National IT Department, stated on X, “If being shameless and working against national interest had a face, it would look exactly like the Congress.” He added, “The problem with our Opposition and the loony far-left ecosystem is that they simply do not know how to stand with the country in times of need.”

HM Shah’s review underscores the government’s determination to swiftly investigate the Red Fort blast and ensure justice.

The PM’s assurance highlights the commitment to maintain strict security across key locations.
