Mathura’s security has been tightened up in response to a demand for Hanuman Chalisa recitation inside a mosque.

Mathura: Following the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha’s appeal for reading Hanuman Chalisa inside Shahi Masjid Idgah on Tuesday, security has been intensified in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, with the local police chief declaring that “no new practise or custom” will be permitted.

Officials announced on Monday that up to 1,500 police, armed constabulary, and paramilitary force members were being deployed, and that traffic restrictions were being enforced close to the shrines of Sri Krishna Janamsthan in the temple town.

They claimed that only ambulances and school buses were allowed.

Senior Superintendent of Police Shailesh Pandey declared that new rituals or traditions would not be permitted to be conducted.

He said that the prohibition orders issued under Section 144 of the CrPC would be carried out in full compliance with the Supreme Court’s rulings.

According to officials, nobody will be permitted to impose their own laws and disturb the peace of this pilgrim city.

Dinesh Kaushik, national treasurer of the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha, said the programme would go on as planned.

He declared, “We shall recite Hanuman Chalisa at the location where we will be stopped, in the event that the administration does not let us to advance.

The organisation had issued a similar call the previous year, but the district administration thwarted their plan.

Police: “Won’t allow anyone to impose their own laws.”

Hindu organisations have declared that no new customs or acts of worship will be permitted without approval, according to the police. Approximately 1500 police paramilitary personnel have been deployed, according to officials. In addition to this, traffic restrictions have been put in place close to Shahi Masjid Idgah and Shri Krishna Janmasthan. The only exceptions are for ambulances and school buses.

According to SSP Shailesh Pandey, no brand-new religious practise is permitted. He stated that section 144 has been invoked and that the Supreme Court’s order will be followed in this case. He declared that nobody would be permitted to use the law to disrupt Mathura’s tranquilly.

Enhanced security measures at Mathura

According to Shailesh Pandey, Mathura’s security system has been tightened in light of September 6. Super zones, zones, and sectors have been established, increasing the deployment of police. The district is subject to Section 144. Personnel from the security forces are keeping a watchful eye on every corner. No such event, which was previously prohibited, will be permitted to occur. The police administration is dedicated to upholding the district’s law, order, and tranquilly.
