In a recent development in a dispute between Hindu and Muslim parties regarding the Baghpat land of Lakshagriha of Mahabharat period, the case seems to be on the verge of getting resolved. Today the Baghpat Court has given its verdict in this case. The court has declared that the land belongs to Hindus. In addition to this, the court has declined the claims of Badruddin Dargah been built hundreds of years ago.
Correspondent Kuldeep Pandit told that the verdict has been pronounced in the court by Civil Judge (Junior Division I) Shivam Dwivedi. Before giving the verdict, the court heard the arguments of both the sides. From the plaintiff’s side, Shahid Ali had presented the argument that the disputed land was the Dargah of Badruddin. On the other hand, Ranveer Singh presented evidence from the other side stating that the place was the land of Mahabharata period.
After hearing both the sides, the court gave its verdict in a 32-page judgment. According to the decision, the Hindu side has the right over the disputed site and the Muslim side will have to vacate the site. This dispute was going on before the court for past 53 years. However, it is mentioned in the texts of Sanatan Dharma that the Mahabharata period came in the last phase of Dwapar Yuga. Then Lord Shri Krishna had destroyed the unrighteous people at the hands of Pandavas.
Scholars are of the opinion that the battle of Mahabharata was fought more than 5 thousand years ago, in which the greatest kings and great warriors present on earth fought. The Kauravas and their allies, who took cover of unrighteousness, were destroyed in this war. This Lakshgriha was one of the reasons for the war. It is described in the Mahabharata text that when Kunti’s son Yudhishthir (Pandavas) was declared the crown prince, the enraged Duryodhana, his brothers and maternal uncle Shakuni conspired to kill the five Pandavas. He built the house of ‘Laksh’, in which a conspiracy was hatched to burn the Pandavas. However, by the grace of God, the Pandavas escaped.
