High Court stayed the charge sheet and criminal proceedings against SP chief Akhilesh Yadav

The  High Court has stayed the charge sheet and criminal proceedings in the case  registered against  SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and others at Dadri police station in Noida.

After hearing the petition Mr .Justice Rajveer Singh stayed the criminal trial  and directed the state government counsel to file a reply and fixed the next hearing in the case as February 3, 2024

According to prosecution a first information report was registered against Akhilesh Yadav and RLD Chief Jayant Chaudhary in February 2022. Both of them were  accused of violating the code of conduct and Covid rules. The said case was registered in  Dadri police station in Greater Noida.

The petition was  filed by Akhilesh Yadav and others challenging the charge sheet and the entire proceedings in the lower court.
