A devastating incident unfolded near Jalmana village in Karnal, Haryana, as a man’s body was horrifically torn into 17 pieces after being struck by a speeding black Audi car while he was out for a post-dinner walk with his family. The collision also left two other family members, including a child, with severe injuries.
The victim, identified as Sahab Singh, was walking alongside his sister-in-law and niece when the tragic accident occurred. The impact of the collision was so severe that the woman’s leg was severed, prompting an urgent rush to a private hospital for medical treatment, as reported by the Times of India.
Following the collision, the driver and their companion reportedly fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. Sahab Singh’s family revealed that the car bore a Haryana registration number plate with the name ‘Ankit Ror’ inscribed on the rear screen.
Recounting the harrowing incident, Sahab Singh’s elder brother expressed, “They were taking a stroll after dinner when the speeding car struck them. We recovered 17 fragments of his body from the scene. My wife lost her leg, and my daughter sustained a fracture,” as quoted by TOI.
The victim’s family has criticized the police for their failure to apprehend the driver, despite having information about the vehicle’s owner.
