Gujarat To Launch Statewide Welfare Campaign Marking 12 Years Of Modi Government

The Gujarat government will launch an extensive series of welfare, environmental, and developmental initiatives next month to commemorate 12 years of the PM Narendra Modi-led Union government.

The campaign will include large-scale plantation drives, Jan Kalyan camps, natural farming workshops, cleanliness programmes, and visits to major infrastructure projects across the state.

Government spokesperson and Minister Jitu Vaghani announced the programme following a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

The celebrations will proceed under the theme ’12 Years: Of Trust, Development and Public Welfare’.

Addressing the media, Vaghani stated that the milestone symbolised years of trust, governance, development, and public welfare.

National-level celebrations will commence in Delhi on June 8 and 9, while Gujarat Ministers and the Chief Minister will interact with media representatives on June 11 and 12 regarding the state’s development achievements.

Under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, Gujarat will plant nearly six crore trees across the state on World Environment Day.

The state will also conduct a plastic waste management cleanliness campaign between June 8 and 14 in rural and urban regions.

Jan Kalyan Camps organised from June 12 to 20 will provide doorstep citizen services and registration assistance for schemes including Ayushman Bharat, PM Surya Ghar Yojana, Lakhpati Didi, and PM SVANidhi.

A ‘Pragatipath Yatra’ will highlight key development projects across Gujarat.

Authorities will additionally organise exhibitions, gather public feedback, and hold meetings with doctors, engineers, educators, and social media influencers.

The government will also conduct over 1,000 natural farming workshops for farmers and promote online marketing support for naturally cultivated produce.

The programme will conclude with mass yoga sessions across the taluka headquarters on International Yoga Day.
