From Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will embark on a three-day visit to Gujarat, taking part in around 25 public engagements across Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Sanadar (Diyodar), Vav-Tharad and surrounding areas.
His schedule from 5 to 7 December focuses on reforms in the cooperative sector, improvements in urban services, expansion of public facilities and cultural initiatives in the state.
Detailed Itinerary Over Three Days
Shah’s itinerary will begin with the inauguration of the ‘Swadeshotsav’ festival at GMDC Ground in Memnagar, organised by the Swadeshi Jagran Manch.
Later that day, he will attend the concluding session of NABARD’s Earth Summit 2025 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.
Also on the first day, the Home Minister will unveil a range of civic upgrades, including new gardens, a yoga centre, a revamped primary school, the LC-11 railway overbridge, an under-bridge sports area, a primary health facility and PNG pipeline distribution in three villages.
The day will end with him presiding over the closing of the Sansad Sports Festival, followed by the launch of the Ahmedabad Shopping Festival.
On 6 December, Shah will visit Banas Dairy in Sanadar (Diyodar) to inaugurate new facilities and lay foundation stones for upcoming projects.
He will chair a session of the Ministry of Cooperation’s Advisory Committee, underscoring the Centre’s continued emphasis on boosting cooperative organisations across the country.
The final day, 7 December, will be dedicated to major residential and developmental works in Ahmedabad.
The Home Minister will hand over 861 affordable homes under PMAY in Thaltej and 350 housing units built through the Slum Rehabilitation Scheme at Nava Vadaj.
His programme also includes opening an Oxygen Park developed under PPP, restoring lakes at Shakri and Vastrapur, new community spaces, a mini sports hub and other public amenities.
Before concluding the visit, Shah will unveil the Gujarati edition of the book Challenges Inspire Me, based on Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, and then attend the Pramukh Varni Amrit Mahotsav organised by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha at the Sabarmati Riverfront.
