Hitesh Pandya, the Gujarat Chief Minister’s Office’s Additional Public Relations Officer, resigned on Friday after his son Amit Pandya’s name surfaced in a case involving fraudster Kiran Patel. Kiran Patel was arrested on March 3 from a five-star hotel in Srinagar by the Jammu and Kashmir Police. Last week, he was placed in judicial custody for 15 days. He introduced himself as an extra secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office. According to sources, he remained in Kashmir under a security cordon for more than 15 days.

Been employed since retirement

When the Kashmir Police arrested the fraudster Nitin Patel from the hotel, two other youths, Amit Pandey and Jai Sitapara, were also apprehended. Who were later freed. However, later he was called for questioning. Amit Pandya is the son of Hitesh Pandya, the Additional Public Relations Officer in the Gujarat Chief Minister’s Office. Hitesh Pandey left the government many years ago. Following that, he worked as an advisor in the Chief Minister’s Office.

Failed security agencies

Kiran Patel, a Gujarat-based fraudster, not only secured Z+ security by posing as a close aide to the Prime Minister in front of security agencies in Kashmir but also traveled to the state to scout for hyper-sensitive locations to improve hotel facilities in the state. Kashmir was visited. He also obtained a Z-plus security cover, a bulletproof SUV, and official lodging in a five-star hotel.

Enjoyed with family

On March 01, fraudster Patel, who described himself as an alumnus of IIM Tiruchirappalli, tagged the Prime Minister and the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir in his February 14 tweet, in which he wrote, “I will come back after hoisting the tricolor, or else I will come wrapped in the tricolor, but I will definitely come back.” This is my promise to the 40 Pulwama martyrs.

His wife also took government services

Following the fraudster’s arrest, his wife, who claims innocence, has also received free government services in Kashmir. The posts on the fraudster’s Instagram account from November 2022 to February 2023 demonstrate this. During Kiran’s February visit to Kashmir, his wife and daughter are also seen under a security cordon in a post on his Instagram account. Even in November, his wife enjoyed the Kashmir litigants under security cover.

Cases have already been registered

Kiran Patel is a resident of Ghodasar in Ahmedabad, according to police investigations. Patel’s verified Twitter account has over 2100 followers. In which Gujarat BJP General Secretary Pradeep Singh Vaghela is present. According to reports, Patel deceived many people in Gujarat by promising them government contracts. In addition, three cases have been filed against him.
