Fire Breaks Out At Gaur Green Avenue In Ghaziabad; Multiple Flats Damaged

On Wednesday morning, a large fire broke out in a residential complex in Ghaziabad, damaging several apartments and forcing residents to evacuate.

The incident occurred in a flat within the Gaur Green Avenue society in the Indirapuram area, from where the flames quickly spread to nearby units.

Officials said at least eight flats were severely affected, though the full extent of the damage is still being evaluated.

Fire services responded swiftly, deploying multiple teams to the site. Around 17 fire tenders were sent to control the blaze, and firefighting operations continued for several hours. Personnel remain on-site to manage the situation and ensure safety.

Ravindra Kumar Mandar, District Magistrate, said the administration was alerted at around 8:30 AM. He confirmed that no fatalities had been reported. Two elderly residents were, however, taken to the hospital after experiencing breathing issues due to smoke inhalation.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire. Preliminary inputs suggest that some wood-related work may have been underway in one of the flats, though officials said this is yet to be verified.

An inquiry team will examine the incident in detail, and safety advisories have been issued to nearby residential societies.

Police and fire department officials are continuing their assessment of the situation.
