Crowds began assembling from Monday evening through to Tuesday morning for a final glimpse of Shibu Soren. The atmosphere was, however, filled with chants of ‘Veer Shibu Soren Amar Rahe’ and ‘Guruji Amar Rahe’.

Remembering Soren, Purnia MP Pappu Yadav stated, “Shibu Soren was a symbol of struggle. He never learned to bow down. As long as this country exists, his name will be remembered.”

Speaking to the press at Ranchi airport, AAP’s Sanjay Singh called Soren’s death a national loss, asserting, “This is a loss not only for Jharkhand but for the entire country. He dedicated his life to the state. On behalf of Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party, I offer my condolences to the bereaved family.”
