On the occasion of World Heart Day, Felix Hospital organized a Grand Zumba and Yoga program at Biodiversity Park, near Sector-137 Metro Station, on Sunday. The event aimed to raise awareness about heart health and encourage participants to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
A diverse crowd attended the event, including children, elderly participants, and young adults. The program began at 7 a.m. and featured trained yoga and Zumba instructors who guided attendees through various Zumba steps and yoga asanas.

Yoga expert Purnima Joshi emphasized the benefits of regular practice, stating that both yoga and Zumba help reduce stress and promote heart health. She noted that these activities improve cardiovascular health and assist in controlling blood pressure.
Felix Hospital Chairman Dr. DK Gupta highlighted the rising incidence of heart diseases, attributing it to poor diet, stress, and a lack of physical activity. He urged participants to incorporate activities like yoga and Zumba into their routines to maintain heart health. Dr. Gupta recommended at least 30 minutes of exercise daily to enhance heart efficiency and manage stress.
Participants expressed appreciation for the event and called for it to be held regularly. At the conclusion, Felix Hospital provided attendees with health-related information and advice on preventing heart diseases.
