On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the BJP’s newly constructed Namo Kamalam office in Navsari, Gujarat.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel called the occasion historic for South Gujarat.
Patel said PM Modi’s inauguration marked an important milestone for the region. He highlighted Prime Minister Modi’s warm interaction with children, who welcomed him with drums and the Tricolour.
Gujarat CM praised their energy and patriotism as symbols of New India.
The inauguration formed part of PM Modi’s Gujarat visit, covering Vadodara and Navsari before his onward journey to Mumbai.
In Vadodara, Prime Minister Modi attended the Namo 4 Viksit Bharat programme and dedicated infrastructure projects worth over Rs 35,000 crore, including Western Dedicated Freight Corridor sections.
The Namo Kamalam office stands near Navsari’s National Highway network. The facility spans around 40,000 square feet and features advanced digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence facilities.
Reports described it as the country’s first BJP organisational office with such AI-enabled facilities.
Traditional music and women carrying ceremonial kalash formed part of the welcome.
Villages across Navsari streamed the inauguration on large digital screens.
Addressing workers, PM Modi praised their continued commitment to service despite sustained electoral support. He said workers had not become complacent or ‘intoxicated with power’.
PM Modi recalled Navsari’s electoral record, including C R Paatil’s highest victory margin nationally in 2019.
The Prime Minister highlighted cleanliness drives, anti-malnutrition and TB campaigns, and welfare schemes.
The Prime Minister further urged workers to make the office a citizen contact point, a refuge for those in distress and a source of hope against injustice.
“Every citizen has a right over us here, and we are their servants,” he stated.
PM Modi recalled his years as then Gujarat Chief Minister, including campaigns encouraging girls’ education. He spoke about PM SVANidhi and street vendors’ financial struggles with informal lenders.
