Amidst the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, the Election Commission of India has extended invitations to 75 international delegates from election management bodies across 23 nations.
These invitations are aimed at providing the opportunity to witness the grandeur of the world’s largest democratic exercise.
This initiative underscores India’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of democratic practices.

The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) will join the delegation, alongside media teams from Bhutan and Israel.
Election Commission in it’s press release stated, “The Election Visitors’ Programme (IEVP), commencing on 4 May epitomizes our dedication to fostering international cooperation and showcasing democratic excellence.”
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, alongside Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and Dr Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, will address the esteemed delegates on 5 May.
The program will entail immersive experiences for the foreign delegates. They will be divided into small groups to actively observe polling procedures and related preparedness across six states. The program will conclude on 9 May.
The program aligns with the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. Commencing on 19 April, these elections unfold across 7 phases. The counting of votes will be on 4 June.
