Home Minister chairing meeting
With an effort to weed out Naxalism completely throughout the country a high level meeting was held in the capital. Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired that meeting. The meeting was held with a plan to adopt a strategy of chalking out a roadmap to completely eradicate the left wing terrorism from the nation.

The meeting was attended among others by Ajay Bhala, union home secretary, Tapan Deka, Intelligence Bureau director, directors general of NIA and central armed police forces including the BSF, SSB, CRPF, NSG, and the chief secretaries of Naxalism-affected states.
Among the politicians, Union ministers along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy; and his Jharkhand counterpart Hemant Soren too took part in that all-important meeting.

In the meeting Amit Shah termed Naxalism as a “curse” to mankind and said that the present Union government is determined to completely eradicate it from the nation. Among other agendas, development of left-wing extremist-affected states were also discussed and the conclusions reached that a lot of developments has taken place in those states and it took place due to the combined efforts of the central and the state governments.
Last time this meeting took place was in September 2021.
