ED Takes Action Following NIA Investigation, Arrests Five Members of Proscribed Islamic Group PFI

Central investigation agency ED has arrested PFI members E.M. Abdul Rehman, Anees Ahmed, Afsar Pasha, A.S.Ismail have been arrested. After the arrest, Patiala House Court has reserved its decision on the demand for ED custody.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested 5 members of the banned Islamic organization PFI in the country. After the arrest, all five were produced in Patiala House Court. His name is E.M. Abdul Rehman, Anees Ahmed, Afsar Pasha and A.S.Ismail are said to be. He was earlier in judicial custody after being caught by NIA.

The correspondent said that the Patiala House Court will give its verdict in some time on the custody of the above five accused of the Enforcement Directorate. It is being told that these PFI (Popular Front of India) members were earlier arrested by the NIA and all the five accused were in jail in judicial custody. According to an official, a money laundering investigation is going on against the banned organization Popular Front of India.

ED has again arrested five big leaders of PFI, who were earlier arrested by NIA. However, when the ED caught them, the ED asked for ten days’ custody.

These five were in judicial custody
1. A Ismail – One of the founding members of the Popular Front of India (PFI).
2. Mohammad Shakif – State President PFI Karnataka.
3. Anees Ahmed – National Secretary PFI till 2020.
4. Afsar Pasha – National Secretary PFI when it was declared illegal.
5. E.M.Abdul Rahman – Was the National Vice President and was also associated with SIMI.

ED has said that he is a key official of PFI and has played an important role in money laundering.
