ED Cracks Down on PFI: Arrests Five Members, Custody Decision Awaited

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken a significant step by apprehending five individuals associated with the banned organization Popular Front of India (PFI). The arrested members include E.M. Abdul Rahman, Anis Ahmad, Afzar Pasha, and A.S. Ismail.

In a swift move, the ED brought the five accused before the Patiala House Court, emphasizing the gravity of the charges against them. ED has formally requested a 10-day custody for all five accused, underscoring the need for thorough investigation and interrogation.

NIA apprehended members of PFI

It’s worth noting that prior to the ED’s action, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had already apprehended members of the PFI.
