External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Saturday met UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy and appreciated the UK government’s strong condemnation of the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.
Jaishankar reaffirmed India’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.
Taking to X, Jaishankar posted, “Glad to meet UK Foreign Secretary @DavidLammy today in Delhi. Appreciate UK’s strong condemnation of the terrorist attack on Pahalgam and support in combatting terrorism. Our conversation focused on the significant strides being made by the India-United Kingdom Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Agreed that as our collaboration continues to grow, new opportunities emerge. Also discussed global and regional issues as also cooperation in multilateral fora.

UK Prime Minister Calls Attack ‘Utterly Devastating’
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer on April 23 called the Pahalgam terror attack ‘utterly devastating’. He said his thoughts were with those affected and the people of India.
“The horrific terrorist attack in Kashmir today is utterly devastating. My thoughts are with those affected, their loved ones, and the people of India,” Starmer posted on X.

An All-Party Delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad visited the UK from May 31 to June 3. The delegation briefed UK officials on the Pahalgam terror attack and India’s response through Operation Sindoor.
UK-India Parliamentary Dialogue on Terrorism
On the final day of the UK visit, the Indian delegation met the Speaker of the House of Commons, members of the UK and Indian media, and held detailed talks with the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on India. The discussions focused on India’s zero-tolerance approach to terrorism and its response to cross-border threats.
UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy will also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his second visit to India. The meeting will focus on strengthening economic and migration partnerships.
The British High Commission confirmed ongoing talks to deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries to benefit working people in the UK.
