Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, a Sarojni Nagar MLA, started the process of establishing the Virasat-e-Khalsa pilgrimage site in his district and marked the land in conjunction with the establishment of the Virasat-e-Khalsa pilgrimage site in Lucknow to preserve the history of Sikh Gurus. He has addressed a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and indicated his wish to provide aid of Rs 25 lakh from his MLA money for this task.
For the Virasat-e-Khalsa pilgrimage site, the Sarojini Nagar MLA has designated 2.4530 hectares of land in the Gramme Sabha foundation under the Bijnor pargana. The ideal position of Mohan-Bani State Highway 136 is where this land is located. Basic amenities like a restaurant, a travel restroom, and parking can also be expanded with the creation of a big Virasat-e-Khalsa pilgrimage site at the chosen location.
Have a look at the letter:
The MLA for Sarojini Nagar stated in the letter that this historical pilgrimage site should be built where the living statues of Sikh Gurus, depicting their supreme sacrifice, should be constructed using funds of 5 crores from tourism, charitable work, or other appropriate departments, under the direction of an experienced architect. A park, a digital library, a fountain, a light and sound show in three dimensions, and an amphitheater ought to be built up and will be given a grand appearance.
With this, it will be able to become a center of attraction among tourists and followers of Sikhism from all over the world.
Dr. Rajeshwar Singh says that the bravery of Sikh Gurus has a glorious history. There is a need for the indomitable courage, dedication, and sacrifice of all the gurus and the teachings of the world to be conveyed to the masses for the welfare of humanity. The intention behind the construction of the Virasat-e-Khalsa pilgrimage site in Sarojini Nagar is to give a new identity to the assembly constituency. With its construction, there will be spiritual and cultural development, tourism will be promoted, and employment opportunities will also increase.
