Dr Dinesh Sharma, BJP’s election in-charge for Maharashtra and a prominent figure in Rajya Sabha, recently took a swipe at Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party’s stance on reservation policies. Dinesh Sharma accused Congress of betraying the principles of social justice by allegedly favouring certain groups over others, particularly through religious-based reservation policies in Karnataka. He emphasized that such actions are not only unconstitutional but also disrespectful to the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of India’s Constitution.
Speaking to journalists, Dinesh Sharma reiterated BJP’s commitment to inclusive development under the motto of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” (Together with All, Development for All). He criticized Congress for what he saw as the concentration of power within the Gandhi family, suggesting that their dominance within the party hierarchy stifled the growth and opportunities for dedicated workers. Sharma further lambasted Congress for what he perceives as their corruption and misuse of wealth in electoral politics.
Turning his attention to the upcoming elections in Maharashtra, Sharma predicted a resounding victory for the BJP-led alliance, claiming that the opposition would fail to secure any significant seats. He derided the opposition coalition, Mahavikas Aghadi, as a hindrance to progress and development in the state. He expressed confidence that BJP’s pro-farmer policies and various welfare schemes would continue to uplift the lives of citizens.
Regarding recent communal tensions in Maharashtra, Sharma cautioned against divisive rhetoric and urged unity among all sections of society. He accused certain organizations and leaders of playing the “communal card” for political gain, warning that such tactics could backfire. Dinesh Sharma emphasized BJP’s commitment to national unity and development as the central themes of their election campaign.
During his visit to Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, Dinesh Sharma met with government officials and party members to review election preparations for several Lok Sabha seats. He expressed determination to secure victory in all constituencies and urged party workers to mobilize support effectively.
In attendance at the meeting were notable figures including BJP President Mr Abhay Agarkar, District President Mr Dilip Bhalsingh, and former minister Professor Ram Shinde, among others, reflecting the party’s unified effort towards electoral success.
