In a startling incident that has sparked widespread concern, a Mumbai doctor claimed to have found a severed piece of a human finger in an ice cream he ordered online.

Dr. Brendan Serrao made the unsettling discovery, prompting authorities to take immediate action.

The incident unfolded on Wednesday when Dr. Serrao, who had requested his sister to include ice cream in her online grocery order, began consuming the Yummo brand ice cream.

However, his enjoyment turned to shock when he felt an unusual texture in his mouth.

Upon investigation, he allegedly extracted a small piece of what he identified as a severed human finger, measuring approximately 2 centimeters.

Disturbed by the finding, Dr. Serrao wasted no time in filing a complaint with the Malad Police Station, initiating a thorough investigation into the matter.

The police have taken the finger segment for forensic analysis to ascertain its origin and any potential implications.

Despite IANS’s repeated attempts, the ice cream company did not respond, although a spokesperson indicated that a statement would be forthcoming.

Yummo Ice Creams, launched in 2012, is a product line under Walko Food Co. Ltd., which boasts multiple brands of frozen desserts and other food products.

Dr. Serrao, leveraging his medical background, preserved the alleged human body part in an ice pack to present as evidence to law enforcement officials during the filing of his complaint.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident, aiming to shed light on how such a disturbing object could have found its way into a consumer product, raising serious questions about food safety and regulatory oversight.
