Disproportionate Assets Case: K’taka Lokayukta Conducts Raid On 56 Locations, Officers Under Radar

The k’taka Lokayukt on Thursday conducted raids on 56 location in connection with disproportionate assets case. officials are charged for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets.

The k’taka Lokayukt on Thursday conducted raids on 56 location in connection with disproportionate assets case. These locations include the residences, offices and other properties belonging to some officials allegedly possessing disproportionate assets.

As per the information from sources, over 100 officers are the part of investigation team.

The conducted the raids against 11 government officials. Officers are under radar for allegedly having disproportionate assets to known sources of income. The back to back raids were conducted in Bengaluru, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru, Chitradurga, Kalaburagi, Belagavi and Hassan districts.

The court has granted the investigators a search warrant so they can perform inspections, seizures, and searches.

The investigators raided home of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and his family members in Bengaluru.

Inspections were in progress and a Tahsildar’s home in Kolar city was the target of a raid. In the meantime, a Grade 1 Secretary in Hassan had her home raided. They were inspecting his homes in Bengaluru and Hassan.

Mandya and Mysore have also had Lokayukta raids. The home of an irrigation department superintendent engineer in Mysore came under the radar of Lokayukta investigators. Authorities were carrying out examinations at his home in J.C. Nagar, Mysuru. At the Gokulam office, the sleuth is examining documents also.

The homes of a retired executive engineer and his family members were raided in Mandya. Two sites in Mysuru and three in the Mandya district were the targets of the raids. His father’s house, a jelly crusher, and his property in Ijjlaghatta village, Mandya district, were also raided.

Team raided a retired engineer  in Chitradurga, along with his farmhouse. According to sources, the locations included a bottle factory close to Aimangala and his farmhouse in Sugur, Hiriyur taluk.

The Lokayukta has not yet released an official comment regarding the raids.
