Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has endorsed the Akhada Parishad’s decision to restrict minorities from setting up shops at the upcoming Maha Kumbh. Shastri argued that only those familiar with Sanatan Dharma should be allowed to conduct business at the religious event. “Those who do not believe in Ram and Sanatan have no place at Triveni Sangam,” he stated.
Shastri expressed strong support for the Akhada Parishad’s stance, stating it is “absolutely right” to restrict shops for non-Hindus at Maha Kumbh. He also suggested that non-Hindus should not attend the event, referencing a song to underscore his view: “When non-Hindus are not with Lord Ram, then what is their work in Maha Kumbh?”
Shastri further cited past incidents to justify the move, asserting that those without knowledge of Sanatan Dharma should not engage in business within the gathering. He affirmed the Akhada’s decision as a necessary measure to preserve the sanctity of Maha Kumbh.
