Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis filed his nomination for the Nagpur South-West seat on Friday, showcasing his strength with a large roadshow. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, and other BJP candidates from Nagpur East and South joined him, along with his wife and daughter.
Before the nomination, Fadnavis’ daughter performed his Aarti. He then visited his mother and received blessings from Union Minister Gadkari at their residence. Acharya Pawan Tripathi, BJP Vice President of Mumbai and Treasurer of Shri Siddhivinayak Temple Trust, extended good wishes on behalf of Lord Siddhivinayak. Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Varanasi MLA Awadhesh Singh were also present.
After filing his nomination, Fadnavis expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Nitin Gadkari for granting him a ticket for the sixth time. Confident of victory, he stated, “The public has blessed me five times, and I am sure they will ensure my win again. The Mahayuti government has driven Maharashtra’s development, and I am confident the public will support us once more.”
Voting for Maharashtra’s 288 assembly seats will occur in a single phase on November 20, with results set for November 23.
